Fairmont St Andrews ： The homeland of golf
Fairmont St Andrews is no doubt the best place to treat yourself and your family to a truly relaxing holiday. The hotel was first opened in 2001, then acquired by FHRI group in 2006 and had the name changed to the present one. Perched on the cliff of the North Sea, the establishment is set within 210 acres of land, overlooking St Andrews Bay. With its grand beauty, this place is truly the landscape for the nobility.
The design concept of the hotel aims for a seamless blending of the ancient time. Authentic castle architecture, double heighted reception lobby and quaint staircases are the first to welcome the guests, in an environ of earthy and green color tones. Velvet wall hangings and upholstery fabrics and leathers of the sofas have been selected from revered Scottish companies. In 2017 Fairmont St Andrews underwent a grandiose interior renovations, and a bespoke artwork was made by artist George Singer, in which, 20,000 discs were individually installed to make “Zephyr” the 60m long swirling ceiling sculpture sweeping through the Atrium, imitating the movement of the water in the North Sea.
Fairmont St Andrews features 209 guest rooms and suites, and 2 onsite Manor Homes, each featuring multiple ensuite bedrooms, fully fitted kitchen and living area, allowing one to immerse in the medieval country life.
