Born in 1985, Garden Hotel Guangzhou witnessed the spring rain of reform and opening up, and was one of the three most influential Sinoforeign joint venture highend hotels in Guangzhou in the 1980s. Renowned architect I.M. Pei designed the exterior concept, and Deng Xiaoping personally inscribed the hotel name... In 1990, Garden Hotel was among the first batch of China‘s State fivestar hotels. In 2007, it became one of the first three localized brands among the first platinum fivestar hotels in China. Garden Hotel Guangzhou has a total land area of 45,000 square meters and a construction area of 170,000 square meters. The hotel consists of two Yshaped twin towers. When it was first built, the number of rooms in the east and west towers reached 2,000, with 1,028 rooms in the west tower. After the platinum fivestar renovation in 2007, this was adjusted to 828 rooms.
