散发着琥珀色的Bussarakam(黄宝石)套房可直通泳池,Ninlakarn(黑尖晶石)套房和Pailin(蓝宝石)套房拥有私属花园露台,也都让人喜欢。

Suites as Gemst

Sireeampan Boutique Resort & Spa is an authentic Thai manor, with architecture built in 18th century Rattanakosin style . The traditional roof with high slope of the grand lobby is an extraordinary feature. Passing through the lobby to the inside, the center of the courtyard is a pond with playful fish, surrounded by a wellproportioned array of lofts. 11 spacious suites are nestled in two floors connected by wooden corridors and stairs.

Rattanakosin means ”gem” in the ancient Thai language. Each of the hotel‘s suites is named after a jewel from Thailand and features a distinctive theme. My room was Morrakot suite on the upper floor with a 25 square meters bathroom much to my satisfaction. My friends stayed at Khaimook suite on the lower floor by the pond, which is the most popular suite among the guests for its elegant and stylish tone.

The resort has a wide range of facilities, including a 12.8m×5m outdoor pool with jacuzzi, a double spa room with a sauna steam room, one Italian restaurant The Zest, and a piano lounge SIP for cocktails and Thai snacks. In the basement there is a meeting room for 22 people and a karaoke room for guests to relax. Overall, the integrity and layout of this boutique resort is ingenious and awesome.

The Hospital

The hospitality of Sireeampan Boutique Resort & Spa begins at the parking lot. First, guests will take a golf cart to pass through a green passage from the gate to the garden yard in front of the lobby, escaping from the outside world. When guests are seated in the sofa in the lobby, Ice towels and special Butterfly Pea tea are served to refresh and cool down from the heat, during this process the checkin procedure is completed by the front desk. Then guests will pass through the lobby and take off their shoes to put into a wooden shoe cabinet with plant sachet, a ritual meaning a complete isolation from the outside world and returning to one‘s own home.

Guests feel like owning this place, just inform the front desk and you can enjoy breakfast at any time and any place. I wanted to go to the Wat Phra Singh Temple outside the resort‘s free shuttle schedule. Instead of calling a taxi, the young man at the front desk took out his own mobile phone and used Grab, a popular local taxi APP, to arrange a private car for me which was much cheaper. Returning to my room, I found different greeting card and snacks every night. If you choose activities offered by the resort, you will be pleasantly surprised to find framed photos the resort shoot for you.

Unforgettable Thai Cooking class

A friend of mine loves to visit the local market whenever visiting a strange city, to see how the locals live. During my trip to Thailand, my most unforgettable experience was attending the Thai cooking class in Sireeampan Boutique Resort & Spa.

Food & Beverage Manager Eakkarin was our driver and guide who took the chef and us to the local market named Ton Payom. Accompanied by Eakkarin, we tasted Coconut Sticky Rice in Bamboo for the first time. At one stall, we tried pork sausage mixed with local herbs, crispy fried pig skin and excellent chili sauce. Our chef bought fresh vegetables for the class, when I saw lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal and ginger wrapped into one bundle for sale, I fully realized that this was the secret behind the unique taste of Thai Tom Yum Kung soup.

Leaving Ton Payom market, our second stop is the popular Royal Project Shop in Chiang Mai. In 1969, King Rama IX established the Royal Project Foundation to help farmers in northern Thailand to abandon the cultivation of opium poppy and replant crops such as tea and fruits, greatly improving the lives of farmers. The project continues to this day and the products of the Royal Project shop are popular for its healthy and organic quality. Meat ingredients of the resort‘s restaurant are all purchased here.

Back at the resort, we cooked under the guidance of our chef and completed three courses which were Thai Green Curry Chicken, Coconut Milk Chicken and Cashew Fried Chicken. We had them for lunch and the whole process was full of fun.
