Nijo Castle, Kyoto, was built over four hundred years ago. It was originally the residence of the shogun and later served as an imperial palace. This treasure has been preserved until today and attracts a large number of visitors.

Just one street away, facing the eaves of the palace, there is a flower symbol of the new brand Garrya under the Banyan Tree Group, hanging from the reddish wall. This is one of the two hotels that the group has opened in Japan for the first time, bringing a whole new style to the ancient capital.
