Opened in November 2017, Rosewood Phuket is the first Southeast Asia resort for ultraluxury Rosewood Hotels & Resorts®. She is nestled along 600 meters of one of the last remaining secluded beaches on the island, on Emerald Bay in southwestern Phuket. Interpretation of the A Sense of Place concept

Inspired by the serenity and sophistication of luxurious beachside estates, the resort features 71 pool pavilions and villas immersed within a 43acre verdant landscape, creating a tropical beach hideaway perfectly placed for guests to explore the hidden charms of Thailand‘s most famous island destination.

Melbournebased BAR Studio has applied its refined aesthetics to the resort‘s design to celebrate its diverse range of landscapes. A sophisticated interpretation of Rosewood‘s A Sense of Place® philosophy is expressed in a contemporary, environmentally sensitive architectural style that blends organically with the natural surroundings, awakening true feelings of escape for guests, from the moment of arrival with the panoramic ocean views above the jungle canopy right through to memorable moments amid hilltop forest, lakes, wetland and sunwashed beach. An abundance of floortoceiling windows and opensided spaces merge interiors with the outdoors. The garden design of the hotel was designed by Bangkok PLA to preserve the natural environment by preserving or properly transplanting existing trees annative plants to protect the 150 years old Banyan trees situated in the resort grounds.

Each seafacing, residentialstyle room features interiors that blend east and west, contemporary and traditional. Their expansive garden terraces are private sanctuaries of relaxed outdoor seating, daybed, infinity pool and Andaman Sea views. The 130squaremeter Ocean View Pool Pavilions feature spacious bedroom and living room areas and an exterior courtyard with infinity pool facing the view.

In addition, the hotel also applies a number of sustainable design elements, including a rainwater collection system for the entirbuilding, a renewable solar system that is the largest in scale among aPhuket Island hotels, and a ”gardenscape” roof that helps to conserve energy. More than 75 of the hotel‘s interior space is naturally lit, reducing overall energy consumption, and the building uses recycled materials as much as possible to reduce the carbon footprint.

Original Dining and Spa Concept to Achieve a New Integrated Wellness

Four distinctive restaurants and bars showcase the stunning seaside setting of Rosewood Phuket. At Ta Khai, the standalone Thai seafood restaurant, guests will experience a glimpse of traditional fisherman‘s village setting comprised of weathered houses and pavilions created from repurposed timber. Ta Khai offers a simple authentic menu planned around the local fishermen‘s daily catch. The Red Sauce Italian restaurant features an opensided terrace with sweeping views of Emerald Bay. The open kitchen and interactive wine cabinets provide guests with a contemporary dining experience. The Shack, adjacent to the seaside pool, serves a wide range of delicious seafood and casual dining, while the sophisticated lounge Mai is the perfect place to have a drink on the beach.

In Rosewood Phuket marks the global launch of Asaya, the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts® integrated wellness concept. The spa specialists provide guests with tailormade treatment experiences and assist them in selecting the hotel‘s own organic herbs and raw materials for treatment use. A range of alternative therapies include Watsu therapy, ”Qi of internal organs” Chinese and Thai massage, Life Force therapy and Chakra Balancing sound therapy. The guests will be refreshed under Asaya‘s two main elements – selfacceptance and selfdiscovery.

Asaya has a total of six suites, including a special suite with an exclusive treatment area, outdoor seating space and Watsu pool for guests and friends to use. The one to 14day wellness retreats combine physical and mental health treatments, fitness programs and healthy meals, while beauty skin treatment uses Maison Caulières and EviDenS de Beauté products to provide deep care for the skin and create significant and lasting results.
