RitzCarlton San Francisco
Elegant at Ease
The building has a total of 9 floors, including 336 standard rooms, 60 superior suites and two presidential suites. The presidential suite covers 2,000 square feet, including a 10seat restaurant, a fully equipped kitchen, a small bar and a whirlpool bath. Two presidential suites located on the top floor enjoy panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay, and No. 910 exclusive suites also has a 1,200squarefoot outdoor terrace, with a panoramic view of Coit Tower and other attractions.
Chandeliers of the hotel are made from recycled eyeglasses or broken pieces of Murano glass chandeliers pulled from the waste bin.The lobby dog greeting newly arriving guests, is a life sized Great Dane made from old forks, tools and bolts. The art wall behind the bar is a twostory glass sculpture created from old wine bottles and iron… Furniture was selected for its futuristic, yet comfortable styling. Many of the pieces are midcentury modern classics designed in the 60s.
The 116 guestrooms of the hotel also reflect this fusion of art and sustainability. Comprised of hundreds of original worn out carpets （some 40 years old）, cut apart and hand stitched back together, each room has its own variation. Desks in the rooms are commercial butcher block chef tables centered below a dynamic art piece made of recycled floppy discs. You‘ ll find that art exists everywhere in the hotel.
