After the Renaissance, the noble offspring of Europe embarked on the ”Grand Tour”. In this journey, they sought the origins of civilization, elevated their artistic cultivation, and closely observed the diverse aspects of the world. 

Hotel de la Ville, Rome is located at the top of the Spanish Steps, overlooking the Piazza di Spagna and the Trinità dei Monti church, with Villa Borghese gardens just a few steps away.

Drawing inspiration from the Grand Tour, the design and decor of the Hotel blend classical grandeur with contemporary vibrancy. At the reception desk, the marble base in the style of ancient Roman palaces evokes a sense of nostalgia. The black and white geometric patterns on the floor reflect the typical style of 18thcentury British mansions. Handcrafted tiles from Umbria adorn the space, while stone columns and fragments of Roman ruins on the deep blue wall convey the joy of the Grand Tourists when they returned to their homeland with precious antiquities collected along the way. Alongside the pathway to the elevator, the variously sized and irregularly shaped mirrors exude a sense of playfulness, like mischievous smiles of historical spirits watching the guests passing by.
